Did you know that the movie Drishyam might be one of the most suspenseful movies in history? It is a story about two kids and their step-father who tries to hide his past from his wife and parents. The movie starts off with a robbery and ends on an even more suspenseful note, all the while leaving us with some very disturbing questions. The movies starts off with the main character, Sathyaraj who is a fisherman and his family consisting of his wife and two children. He comes across a robbery and he witnesses the robbers and saves his kids from them. No one believes that Sathyaraj saw anything as he was drunk at the time of robbery. But, he knows that those people were those who robbed the bank. Desperate to prove himself right, he tries everything to recreate past events as they occurred in order to prove it to others. Since the robber calls him as well as threatens him, it becomes difficult for everyone else to believe him. The story takes a twist and we end up asking questions like: does Sathyaraj know the robber and why has he been targeting his children? Will he go to far? What will happen? We want to know more because we can see that those people are after his children. The movie Drishyam also won 3 National Film Awards. Drishyam (Tamil: திருச்செய், English: The Mirror) is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Saran and produced by newcomer Arun Thampi. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi with Megha Akash, Sathya Prakash and debutant Parvathy in lead roles, while M. S. Bhaskar, Rajendran and Santhosh Daryananthan appear in supporting roles. The film features music composed by A. R. Rahman; cinematography is handled by Ravi Varman and editing by Gautham Ramanathan. The film released on 18 May 2015, coinciding with the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections in India.
